2023 Sonance Design Award

In this stunning 2023 Sonance Design Award Winning project, @premieresystems collaborated with the architect and interior designers to develop bespoke solutions tailored to the client’s needs. The goal was to create a space where technology would enhance, rather than detract, from the natural beauty of the environment.

Presenting our entry for the "James Loudspeaker Designer to Disappear" category, where innovation meets subtlety in a symphony of audio brilliance. In this project, we have created an immersive audio experience that remains hidden, yet profoundly impactful.

Through the clever use of both James small aperture speakers hidden behind a custom perforated wooden slat system in the ceilings, and James speakers concealed discreetly behind a perforated fence outdoors, we've achieved something remarkable. Picture residential indoor and outdoor space where sound emerges as if by magic, thanks to the ingenuity of James Loudspeaker. These understated speakers, nestled behind sleek perforated barriers that allow sound to pass through clearly, enrich the environment with an immersive auditory experience.

The primary living space features a James small aperture surround zone with two hidden DF10 subwoofers in the custom millwork. The outdoor area features James all-terrain speakers concealed adeptly behind a custom fence, so they can still be serviced easily, yet remain invisible to the client. This project is a testament to disappearing design at its finest. Experience firsthand how James Loudspeaker redefines the relationship between audio and aesthetics.
