Lake Forest Estate

Originally designed by renowned architect Arthur Heun, the Lake Forest Historical Landmark Estate stands as a remarkable example of timeless craftsmanship and architectural heritage. Set within five acres of mature gardens and landscapes, the 11,000-square-foot residence presented a unique challenge: how to introduce modern technology while preserving the character and integrity of a century-old landmark.

Working alongside Victoria Hagan Interior Design and Bulley & Andrews, Premiere Systems developed a technology strategy centered on simplicity, performance, and discretion. Every decision required close collaboration with designers, millworkers, painters, and other trades to ensure that technology enhanced the home without disrupting its historic architecture.

At the heart of the project was the integration of Sonance Invisible Speakers throughout key living spaces. In the formal family room, a carefully designed audio system was concealed behind designer-selected wall coverings, delivering exceptional sound quality while resolving longstanding acoustical challenges. In the formal living room, where original millwork and decorative ceilings could not be altered, speakers were meticulously positioned within existing architectural details and finished to blend seamlessly with the surrounding woodwork.
